The ekanite named in 1961 after F.L.D. Ekanayake, who first found the mineral in Sri Lanka.
The ekanite is transparent to translucent. Originally tetragonal, later amorphous, due to persisting radioactivity.
The data of crystalline ekanite is somewhat different from that of the amorphous variety. Ekanite has a vitreous luster.
There are 2 Ekanite(s) organised in the following categories: Cabochon Single, Facet Single, gemstones.
Price of our Ekanite range from USD 700.00 to USD 2121.00 and all gemstones are 100% natural. No lab, created or synthetic gemstones.
We grade our stones with strict adherence to current GIA (Gemological Institute of America) standards for color, tone, hue, saturation and clarity and all gems are identified and graded only by GIA certified gemologists.
