 This mineral forms as thin, tabular crystals with vertical striations.
The crystals have different terminations at each end, which are termed hemimorphic.
Hemimorphite also occurs in massive, compact, granular, botryoidal, stalactitic, fibrous, and enclusting habits. It is transparent to translucent, with a vitreous or silky lustre.
