The yellow-brown variety of grossular is called hessonite (or essonite).
Its name comes from the Greek esson, meaning "inferior" gems of this color being regarded as the least valuable. Also call cinnamon stone and Kaneel Stone.
It is common in the gem gravels of Sri Lanka and, practically all the gem material is obtained from this locality.
There are 18 Hessonite(s) organised in the following categories: Cabochon Single, Facet Lot, Facet Single, Rough, gemstones.
Price of our Hessonite range from USD 14.00 to USD 333.00 and all gemstones are 100% natural. No lab, created or synthetic gemstones.
We grade our stones with strict adherence to current GIA (Gemological Institute of America) standards for color, tone, hue, saturation and clarity and all gems are identified and graded only by GIA certified gemologists.
