Natural Porcelanite

Natural Aquamarine Perhaps the most characteristic lithology in the Monterey Formation is porcelanite, a hard siliceous sedimentary rock with the matte texture and dull luster of unglazed porcelain (hence the name). It is formed by the diagenetic alteration of diatomaceous sediments that are a mixture of silica and mud. It is not as purely siliceous as chert.

Sorry, Porcelanite is out of stock!

Despite our efforts to keep inventory levels for all items very high, sometimes demand is so great that we temporarily run out of something. We know that when you want something it´s nice to get hold of it as soon as possible, so rest assured, we´ll get some more of this item in stock as soon as humanly possible.
