Natural Sphene

Natural Sphene The crystal formed by sphene are wedge-shaped or prismatic, and commonly twined.

This mineral also occurs in massive, lamella, and compact habits. The color may be brown, yellow, green, grey, red, or black, and often varies within a single crystal.

A colorless form also occurs. The streak is white. It is a transparent to nearly opaque mineral, and it has an adamantine to resinous luster.
